About

My name is Briana Pierce, and I am a mother of 4 children, full-time career woman, entrepreneur, holistic health consultant, cultural creative, and budding blogger. Phew!! *laughing* No sense being bored, after all.

With all of that, why write, too?!?
Ultimately, I’m out to make the world a better place. Where else to start than with ourselves?? In my relentless pursuit of knowledge and ways to shake up the status quo, I occasionally come across interesting tidbits of information - and rather than let it accumulate dust in the disorganized filing cabinet that is my mind, I figured it makes more sense to share it with you!!

In addition, life is challenging. Intensely so, at times. We hear things like, “You are only given what you are strong enough to handle,” and “Everything happens for a reason.”   … But it sure doesn’t feel that way sometimes. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I know that when I’m in the middle of a crisis (or lesson, or what have you), I don’t always see things so clearly – stress, emotion, and my own brain often get in the way! Everything we encounter presents us with an opportunity to make a choice, to learn a lesson… I hope that I can offer a few words of wisdom, tips for survival, ideas to get you going – or simply the knowledge that you are not alone.

Jill of All Trades, Master of… Some?
My current day job is as a contract employee with the Oregon Secretary of State, helping to update their websites, and I also have additional website design/development projects running on the side. I am married to the world’s most amazing man (well, at least I think so), and have 4 fantastic children, ranging in age from 5 to 12. My husband, Jeffrey Pierce, is a shaman and a writer, and works from home while ferrying children to and fro. His first novel, "Escaping Destiny", was published in February - and the next one is due out in May! I am doing the layout and eBook conversion/uploading, and we are our own two-person marketing team. That's a full-time job in itself, I've decided!

I am also a third-generation herbalist, and grew up surrounded by both medical textbooks and herbs (my parents are both traditional medical practitioners). The two have naturally grown together over the years, and I am slowly working toward my goal of becoming the "Village Wise Woman"! Of course, there has to be a village of sorts for that to happen, but that's another story...  ;)

Life is to be lived, and there is always something new to learn. Feel free to drop me a line if you think there is something I can help you with!

Until then, Namaste – and Happy Reading!
